Dr. Hanimireddy Lakireddy embarked on his medical journey at Kakatiya Med Coll,

Osmania University, graduating in 1966. With a solid foundation in medicine, he has

accumulated extensive experience and knowledge throughout his decades-long career, establishing himself as a trusted authority in cardiology. His remarkable journey is a testament to his unwavering dedication to advancing medical education, providing opportunities for the underprivileged, and leaving an indelible mark on the communities he serves. As the Managing Partner of the premier cardiology practice in Merced County, Dr.

Vikram Lakireddy has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in patient care and a vision for advancing cardiac services. His leadership extends beyond patient care,

encompassing healthcare management and philanthropy. 

Dr. Lakireddy is dedicated to not only providing top-notch medical care but also contributing to the well-being of the

community through charitable endeavors.

After completing his medical training at Yale New Haven Hospital and State University

of New York Downstate, he returned to Merced with a focus on Interventional

Cardiology, Dr. Lakireddy founded the PCI program at Mercy Hospital in Merced,

enabling patients to receive life-saving care without leaving the county. He stays at the

forefront of technological advancements and innovative treatments to ensure the

highest quality of care for his patients. His leadership style is characterized by leading

by example, inspiring those around him to strive for excellence in their respective roles.

Dr. Lakireddy is an advocate for philanthropy, recognizing the importance of giving back to the community. He serves as a trustee on the UC Merced Foundation Board, and is actively engaged with numerous local non-profit partners.

Dr. Garima Handa is a board-certified Cardiologist, so she can treat and prevent coronary artery disease, heart failure, heart rhythm disorders and other conditions affecting the cardiovascular system.

Dr. Handa’s is also a board-certified interventional cardiologist. These specialists perform minimally-invasive procedures, such as stenting, to treat heart attacks, coronary artery disease, vascular and structural heart disease.

FUN FACTS: Dr. Handa is a Merced County native! After graduating from Livingston High, she moved to Merced and attended UC Merced in one of its first few graduating classes. After receiving advanced medical training all around the country, from Miami to Los Angeles, New York and Kentucky, she is excited to be bringing her skills and expertise back home to the Central Valley and bring world-class care to those in need.
